Whenever an artist completely opens up their personal life in their music it always adds a significant layer of authenticity to the music. Especially when you know that the fake-ness has been left behind, your appreciation for the art exponentially increases. Take the L.A based singer/songwriter, Banks, for example who effortlessly lays her cards on the table with her emotive song, "Before I Ever Met You". The song spells out the story of a broken heart over a aggressive driving beat that nuances with the subtle anger expressed in the disappointment of her words.
