Translated as “No One Else”, Brazilian three-piece Banda do Mar brings us indie-pop romance in "Mais Ninguém"—a track perfect for the mild transition into the months of fall we're now undergoing. "Mais Ninguém" is not the type of song that demands dissection of its intricate details and complex production. Rather, we can accept its straightforward characteristics with an impartial ear, appreciative of the beauty found in its simplicity. This is due to its gentle guitar riffs, soft percussion, and sweet, restrained, and unassuming vocals of Banda do Mar front-woman, Mallu Magalhães. Her words glide over the track's backdrop, and even though we might not speak her language, we can definitely appreciate her tender sentiments.
