To many, Balthazar might be a brand-new name since they haven't necessarily hit it too big yet, but the Belgian five-piece certainly did experience some success with their most recent album, Rats, as well as with their debut, Applause. The indie-alternative group has now let loose their biggest release yet, Thin Walls, though, and it's easily the most impressive body of work we've heard from them thus far. Balthazar strays a bit from the beaten path in songs like "Decency" and "Bunker", which are very pleasant listens that also contain some dark undertones, but perhaps the album's most remarkable quality is its effortless, laid-back tone that we've been missing a little bit in indie music recently. You can really get a good feel for their style in tracks like "Wait Any Longer" and "So Easy", and each are ideal for any low-key occasion. Thin Walls is currently available for download on iTunes via PIAS, and if you have any interest in seeing the group live, know that they're currently gearing up for a massive tour through Europe and the UK.
