Baby Queens

Red Light

It's always a plus for an artist when they're making music that crosses over into multiple genres, because, when appealing to a wider demographic of music listeners, it's a better chance of sticking, and what we're hearing from the Cardiff-based collective, Baby Queens, is hip-hop, R&B, and electronic all merged to create something that not only sounds great, but astounds beyond measure. This is not a dysfunctional marriage of genres, or something that's just stuck together as a gimmick, because with the only two tracks they've released so far in "Red Light" and "Star Light", this five-piece has a tremendous amount of upside. Both of the songs were released nine months ago, and much to our surprise, have only racked up 1-3K plays respectively since their release. However, we're thinking that once you guys and the Hype Machine scoop this up, those play counts will soon rise. And, as we mentioned previously, it's been quite the hiatus for Baby Queens, so let's hope that, with some extra push from this post, we can give them encouragement to release some more fantastic music.
