b a y o u first caught our attention with his foggy and enthralling "Varsity Jacket" effort a while back. And the London producer and singer/songwriter is again on our radar with his unique take on the 1980's hit, "Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime" originally performed by the Korgis. b a y o u's rendition lends the same wavering vocals and solid synth work we've heard in previous work of his, but the funkiness thrown in with this track makes it an absolute winner. Taking a mostly melancholic tune and adding in unexpected elements or changing the vibe is what makes a great cover, and b a y o u has definitely delivered one here.
