There's a lot to be excited about in R&B these days, and London-based Azekel's music lives among the rest of many impressive R&B and soul acts whose flames have been burning brightly over the past few years. Azekel's been striving tirelessly to keep his own flame brightly lit, and, he certainly was able to do that with the well-received release of Raw, Vol. 1. this past summer, on which he proved his self-sufficiency as an artist by impressively constructing all elements of songwriting, production, engineering, and mastering. Today from the artist (and recorded at London's legendary Abbey Road Studios), we get "The War Inside", a new track borrowing elements from Azekel's earlier R&B, electronic-saturated single "New Romance", a cut that garnered well over a million streams on Spotify alone. This first taste of Azekel's continuation of Vol. 1 sets the tone with a conflicted and artistically revealing artist who is masterful in both his delivery and control, and it serves as further proof to his creative might. Raw, Vol. 2 will become available in early 2016—a year now set up to be Azekel's for the taking.
