We covered Azekel's last track "New Romance" here about a month ago, but he's already got a brand-new track for us to enjoy, and it's definitely a winner. So far, his work has been an interesting blend of R&B and experimental electronic, but it's his voice that has really taken songs like "New Romance" and "Holy Matrimony" to a place where it's hard for other acts to replicate what he's got to offer. "Holy Matrimony" is a bit slower than his previous efforts, but it's no less addictive, and it does a great job keeping up the hot streak that this London-based artist has been on since his Circa EP came out nine months ago. We'll have to wait and see where Azekel goes from here, but if he keeps up his impressive clip, it wouldn't be out of the question to start expecting to see him showing up at bigger venues. His music has a versatility to it that comes when you can put together creative tracks that are technically sound, and well thought-out. At times, his work may come off as wild and off the wall, but you would be remiss to assume there's no method to the madness. Clearly he's got a plan, and it shows when you realize that listening to his music is so easy and fun. He's still got a long ways to go from here, sure but he's is on the right path, and his work is nothing to pass up if you're a fan of avant-garde R&B.
