There is a certain charm that comes hand-in-hand with lo-fi, psychedelic sounds, and act Avid Dancer's newest single, "You Only Like Me With The Lights Out", is the perfect example of this. It's our first time listening to any Avid Dancer material, but it seems the act's been around for a while (dozens of tracks are on their SoundCloud page), and the experience had is certainly distinguished in this latest track here. Its grimy guitar riffs, heavy percussion, and rough-around-the-edges vocals paint a picture of immense nostalgia, and, while this overall style is one we've seen before, there's an intriguing-enough sound made for us to jam out to during these late summer days and into the fall months.
