It's been a matter of several months since Ann Arbor producer Atu has released any original material, and we were beginning to wonder when we'd again hear the majesty he hinted at with his Pictures On Silence project from the past year. Breathtaking as the body of work was (and perhaps because of how breathtaking it was), we couldn't stand to wait afterwards for more material from the the Soulection member, and though he's some works released since the time POS exploded on the instrumental scene, there hasn't been one enchanting us quite the way his new effort "Doubts" did earlier today. It's not an entirely unique work, mind you (the track samples some wonderful bits from Made In Heights' "Skylark Interabang?!"), but the way Atu builds so beautifully upon the original, you almost can't tell. A slew of moody synths and sensual vocal loops are cast over Sabzi and Kelsey Bulken's already-spellbinding sound, and it'll take all of about ten seconds into the instrumental before you tumble into the elegant vibes Atu effortlessly emits.
