Icelandic indie artist, Ásgeir, has a star that is definitely on the rise. His music is just as accomplished as his voice, and the artistic vision he possesses when it comes to picking signature sounds and tone is off-the-charts good. So when we found this remix by French producers, Montmartre and Fever 105, our ears perked up. With Ásgeir having such a versatile sound, the rework possibilities were endless. The track probably could have been chopped up and turned into something more mad scientist-esque, but the final product skirted the edges of French house instead, and, in the end, worked out just as well. Ásgeir's voice is soft-edged, so it meshed perfectly with the mellow chords and muted beats that Montmartre and Fever 105 laid in, and when the song settled into its rhythm, that's when it really came into its own. Grab this one if you're already an Ásgeir fan, or if you're in the mood for something that's not gonna try to beat you over the head with harsh drops or booming bass.
