I've never understood why so many of us disregard music in favor of coffee or energy drinks for the morning hour; the former works just as well, if not better, to awake the senses, not to mention the soul. Of course, it's crucial to select the right song in order to start and direct the day in the proper direction; no one wants a splitting headache, or, conversely, a melodramatic message to mess with during the morning moments. And so bless the Houston producer Arson McKay, whose "RSKS. The Beat" is both beautiful enough to soothe, but bassy enough to keep your eyes wide open and mind alert, making it the perfect track to listen to as you arise. Unfortunately, the song falls short of two minutes, but we're grateful for the effort, nonetheless.
