Fans of London Grammar need to listen up, because today we're bringing you one of the best new bands that falls into Grammar's specific musical niche. Just the name of the UK-based three-piece, Arctic Lake, makes us shiver a bit, but once we listened to their tender, serene sound on new single "Limits", we had chills for an entirely different reason. The female vocalist's controlled, powerful croon certainly reminds us of Hannah Reid's (London Grammar), but the instrumental—composed of electric piano and modern-sounding percussion—definitely separates Arctic Lake from the masses. Technically, "Limits" is Arctic Lake's second track, and though their debut received some great attention from BBC, it was removed from SoundCloud for whatever reason (it can still be heard on Youtube). However, we're really enjoying the stripped-down sound that their new single contains, and we're hoping to hear more similarly great music from the band soon. Listen to their track below, and if you're in or near London tonight, you can check out the launch of "Limits" at The Old Queens Head. More details on that can be found HERE.
