Over the years, Melbourne has almost become the forefront for up-and-coming talent from the country it's a part of, and today, we see and hear new artist Archy Stranger typify why that is. He's totally unaccompanied on his astounding work here, and that makes it all the more impressive from beginning to end. According to Stranger, "wonky pop tunes" are what he enjoys making, and, to some extent, that can be detected on "Fundamentalism" here. Vivacious elements and a distinguished chorus are the most striking elements within it, and what pop-infused vocals he includes catch on rather quickly, too. This one's an absorbing, sultry listen, and it ought to be the first of a long line of them for the act.
