Archipelago has been around the Gothenburg music scene since 2012, but so far, this trio has not been able to break outside of Sweden. We're thinking that's going to change with the release of their brand-new single, "Hang-up", however. Within electro-pop music, you usually look for the big hooks and the big sweeping buildups, but on "Hang-up", you don't find either, which is surprising in a sense, because you may wonder how they get away with it. It's simple, though, this trio channels a more consistent effort that doesn't vary too much in its energy, yet it still engages you through its subtle pop-sensibilities and lighthearted vibe.
