Our tears are still flowing from Aquilo's last track, "I Gave It All", and it's so emotional, in fact, that we're going to call in 2014's saddest song of the year. Yep. Luckily for this ever-evolving UK pair, though, there's nothing inherently negative about that; rather, it's a plus for music as a whole, because we seriously need tunes like it that can touch the soul without sounding sappy or overly affectionate. Regardless our thoughts and emotional reactions, though, we're just glad that guys are continuing to pump out their stuff, and now that they've a new, SOHN-produced effort in "Human" to send our way, we're excited as ever for their forthcoming EP from which either track is appearing upon. Don't get things twisted; "Human" is not nearly to the eye-inundating status as its preceding piece of art, but it is still an intimate track that dips and dives tempo-wise alongside string-heavy production to give its intended effect. Really, it's a perfect encapsulation of what Aquilo does best, and that's make you feel something—anything at all. Aquilo's upcoming Human EP is scheduled for a December 8th release date.
