"Calling Me" is a track that not only expands on Aquilo's sonic universe, but serves as the capstone for their sound as a whole. The two behind the project have yet to make a misstep by all accounts both popular and professional, and while it's essentially impossible to please everybody, the audio gold in "Calling Me" is going to solidify their position as a leader in the indie-pop scene for the next year and beyond (as so many of their tracks have already been able to do). Their new piece uses a lot of the symphonic influences that worm their way into the rest of their work, and we're all the more excited because of it. It's not a hit single in the sense that the energy in the track will carry it to widespread popularity (in fact, the composition is actually quite subdued), but there is a power present within the production work, and this power is what characterizes almost every song that the group has put out. Listen to the new track now, and forever be on the lookout for shows of theirs that may be happening in, or near, your area. The guys are steps away from the stardom that they deserve.
