Aquilo's music isn't fair. It's too good. It's heartfelt, aesthetically pleasing, and almost always without any flaw at all. That's what happens when you a tight-knit pair is behind the sounds being heard, however, and we'd never in a million years hope for any alteration of what they're together creating. Their craft is excellent. We don't need to say that we're happy to hear from them again, but we are very much so. As Huw Stephens on BBC 1 shared earlier on, Aquilo's a new track called "Better Off Without You" out now from a forthcoming EP, and, as to be expected (and greatly admired), it's phenomenally done. Forlorn electronic twangs, dazzling vocals, brilliant piano playing, and myriad other instruments make appearances in the song, and they all have us collectively holding our breath until that sophomore Calling EP comes out later on.
