Apothek is a hugely intriguing, brand-new act from Oslo, Norway, and once you catch a whiff of their obscure indie-electro sound, you'll be just as hooked on them as we are. To our delight, we get to premiere the band's debut single, "Family", which stands apart from essentially anything else we've heard in quite some time. The piece carries on it scattered electronic percussion and celestial synths, and the vocalist—with the unique platform to work off of—preaches his extraordinarily well-crafted lyrics with a seamless edge. We aren't sure exactly when we'll hear more new material from these guys going forward, but we're hoping that we won't have to wait too long for more of their gripping and distinctive sound. If you find yourself in Europe and can't wait to hear more of their sound, keep in mind that they're going on a European tour with Susanne Sundfør in a few weeks (dates are on their website).
