ANIMA!, a collaboration between a Californian and South African, will give you one of most intriguing listens you will have this month with their three-track debut EP, Be Here Now. Not only does their music sound like nobody else's, but the more you listen to it, the more it grows on you—and that's always an amazing thing. The music that Vicente Espi (production) and Arielle Vakni (vocals) create really has no singular genre to define it. There are distinct elements of electronic and even acoustic included, but what really sets their sound apart is the arrangements they weave together; they're unorthodox in form, yet incredibly creative the way they're continually changing. Alongside the folksy lead vocals of Arielle, tracks like "Breathe" and "It's All Around" are going to have people taking immediate notice.
