Among Savages' second album, Accounts of Friend and Foe, has been a long time coming. After over three years of work but merely ten days of recording alongside his co-producer, Daniel James, the Los Angeles-based artist is almost ready to offer his project to the world. First, though, he's treating us to an exceptional new single in "What Goes Around". With its heartfelt strings, somber keys, and chilling drums, "What Goes Around" is certainly a darker song. Among Savages' vocal distortion on it feels natural and well-executed, as does the culminating hook posing the eternal question "Why does love have to be so hard?"
