Sometimes when a song is so catchy you almost feel bad for liking it. You've lost control of that conscientious part of you that tries to evaluate why a song is good and what makes it good because you just can't help but like it. It feels like more of an instictive primal, animal love rather than an analyzed choice you made to like it based on your values you've spent year building. American Authors have crafted one of those songs with "Best Day of My Life". Inherent in the title is the fact that it's going to be an extremely upbeat song, but achieving that effect without overdoing it rides a very fine line and I think they've found the correct balance.
