As 2013 creeps into the new year, it seems like the trend of the pitched-down vocal sample is not going away anytime soon. We have zero problems with that, though, because every time we hear that production technique used properly, it adds incredible amounts of depth and longevity to the respective song it's implemented on. On the newest track from Ambassadeurs, we find the lead, pitched-down vocal sample taking the point on this song, but that's not the only thing that draws us in. It's the surrounding elements on "Make Me" that give you this sense of being immersed into purely controlled chaos. And whether you find it enjoyable or not, there's no denying that "Make Me" is one fantastic piece of music.
