When you're as eloquent, sonically, as Dutch producer Moods, reworking originals must be an absolute treat, and today, we've got his latest work to present, as he injects his signature buoyancy into Ambassadeurs' month-old, Lost Tribe Records-released "Looking At You". The original features the mystic vocals of Glaswegian vocalist C Duncan and possesses a classic, haunting Ambassadeurs tenor, and while we are massive fans of the particular sound, Moods' take is also rather sublime. Nick (Moods) certainly overhauls the original to his liking, but he manages to keep the enigma within the vocals, adding deep bass elements aside piercing, chord-ridden stabs. The result is a foot-tapping one, and alongside some differed drum sequences, Moods opens the door for a wider range of electronic fans to enjoy his work.
