Ambassadeurs is another producer we’ve kept a watchful eye on for the past couple years, and that’s particularly due to his adept sampling and synth modulation techniques, as “From You” gorgeously verifies. The Brighton-based talent is known to churn out high-quality gems on a regular basis, and now, with a short break before his UK tour alongside ODESZA, Slow Magic, and other electronic acts, he’s again portrayed his forward-thinking, highly intricate sonic persona. What’s especially intriguing with Mark Dobson's (Ambassadeurs) "From You” is the boldness in his use of percussion and layering, with a front-running sample being fused by oscillating inclusions at desired yet appropriate times of the piece. From the laser stabs, to the chiming synths, the track sees itself meander though all sorts of sonic terrain, and Mark seamlessly transpires certain elements, keeping the alluring sample at the forefront, and effortlessly automating all the elements within. As a result, we'd say that “From You” is no doubt ornate in its nature, but it’s the entire piece we’re concerned with, and it’s certainly easy to dive into for anyone who appreciates electronically inclined production.
