We are in a transitional period where experienced SoundCloud artists are seeking ways to monetize their talent. Now, instead of passively releasing a zillion beats for free, producers are much more keen on forming a partnership with an artist or collective and building something from scratch. "Days", our favorite song from ENDS, the debut EP from ALX&R (it's produced by popular SoundCloud producer Rare), tells a tale of this, as the two artists are part of Toronto's BEVSTMODE collective. The EP is an excellent example of them combining talents to create something unique, and we think their example is a prime one for other artists to follow.
