Jersey Club has, as a genre, caught on faster than we’d thought possible, and though there are some who would argue that it’s already passed its prime, artists like Lido and Cosmo’s Midnight have been continuously concocting these sunlit, breaky tracks that just don’t seem to tire. The Norwegian (Lido) has been the talk of the town lately, too, flipping a classic a month ago in addition to a handful of vivacious remixes that have see their play buttons ruined. Cosmo’s Midnight has chugged along in lush fashion as well, and with incredible support from their fans, the twins continue to deliver at a high rate. Moving on, AlunaGeorge continue their escalation around the globe, and with over four million SoundCloud followers, it’s safe to say they’re one of the more highly acclaimed electronic duos today. This amazingly star-studded lineup should be enough catch you by the throat, and the rework of AG’s “Superstar” itself is quite spectacular, with Lido and Cosmo’s giving their own deft touches to the original with spine-tingling chimes, high-pitch cuts, sweeps, a ton of shakers, and even some chiptune inclusions. We’ll refrain from listing every single sound on this remix (it would take a while), but let’s reiterate that both of them have complemented Aluna’s vocals superbly, exerted unpredictably delightful breaks, and have still managed to keep the piece well in length.
