Between their feature on Jack Ü's "To Ü", and the commercial success of DJ Snake's remix of their song, "You Know You Like It," AlunaGeorge had a pretty successful year in 2015. Their first offering of 2016, however, "I'm In Control", marks a bit of a change of pace for the London pair, and it'll be interesting to see how that plays into their second album slate for release this spring. "I'm In Control" with emerging dancehall artist Popcaan here leaves behind the R&B elements the band explored on their debut album, Body Music, and instead explores a more house-influenced genre bend. Aluna's distinct vocal hasn't changed, however, and she sounds as great as ever on the new track. Popcaan, the artist who featured on Jamie xx's smash "I Know There's Gonna Be (Good Times)", lends an equally exciting verse to it as well, and, together, they make for a solid, solid piece here.
