It doesn't start out as much, just some ambient voices holding far off notes somewhere in the background as Joe Newman's vocal sample drifts in and out over a sporadic beat. It's quite unassuming, really. However, this all changes about forty seconds into the track when Ben de Vries adds some warmth with a handful of extra layers, right before pulling them off, and then starting all over again. It's one of those tracks that captures a sense of mourning, and yet can still make the music feel uplifting, in a roundabout sort of way. And while there's not much (actually, nothing really) known about this Cambridge producer and his sparse musical offerings, we know that they're indeed moving, and that he's definitely somebody you're going to want to keep an eye on.
