We posted about indie-pop sextet ALPINE three years ago when they dropped their shiny, slinky, and definitely sunny single "Gasoline", and now, just recently, they've given a taste of their forthcoming sophomore affair with "Foolish", the lead track from the upcoming album. With "Foolish", the band again casts out their sunlit sound, and with what guitar playing, humming, and floating vocals the members have attached to it, we think they have a pretty serious hit on their hands. This track is definitely inclined for poolside minds, for those in love with the summer months, and for those looking for some cool and effortless indie-pop to fly away to, but almost anyone will be able to enjoy the glorious pop the piece presents. The subject matter on it, too, being about exciting emotional accidents, gives a carefree glow that mirrors splendiferously the sonic tendencies the track presents. It's all pretty perfect in a very pretty way, and you'd be pretty crazy not to listen to it all this very second. Look for ALPINE's new album, YUCK, to come out June 12 in Australia, New Zealand, and the UK, and on June 16 in the United States.
