We admire music that adapts to the seasonal changes we experience, but every so often, it’s refreshing to come across a piece that you wouldn’t expect around this time of the year, too. Wales producer ALOKA's sultry, mellow vibes on his latest effort, “Let Go” exemplifies this fact, and though Jake O’Regan (ALOKA) has been floating around the sonic globe for over a year now—concocting slow-paced house with brilliant chillwave variations—it's with the effort that he's now a home on HD. “Let Go” solely portrays where Jake’s early experimentation has taken him, as well-refined progressions are beautifully embellished with an array of percussive and synth inclusions. With a backdrop resembling a rain forest and protracted, spacey synths, an alluring cut bolsters the breakdown and then bursts into an enchanting drop—creating a bold fusion of zestful, tropical sensations throughout.
