Alina Baraz — Make You Feel (Myles William & T. Hemingway Remix)

Alina Baraz

Make You Feel (Myles William & T. Hemingway Remix)

Alina Baraz's R&B lends itself amazingly to producers looking to supplement the silky sound, and we've seen plenty try their hand at her original creations. The thing is, they've all been fantastic (for the most part), so there's definitely something to be said about those choosing to interpret her pieces...a sort of expressed level of sonic maturity, perhaps. Whatever the signs may say, we're happy producers are continuing to take to her work, and with Myles William and T. Hemingway's remix of "Make You Feel", we've another well-constructed, impressively blissful reworking to add to the Alina Baraz remixing canon. With soft, blossoming synths coming to coat the original vocals and keys at the onset of the effort here, we're treated with what we can expect to be a more downtempo remixing (whereas some others have tried to spike the pace a bit), and that's ultimately what we receive. Understated-yet-effective percussion comes to coat the sound, adding some calm and composed sonic substantialness to the effort, while also working to divide further the dynamic of the original. Things never get too hectic, too quiet, or too tired; Myles and Trey work well together in that regard, keeping all steadily serene, and, as a result, they've a phenomenally blissful piece here to share.
