ALEXA, the lead vocalist for Australian deep disco, house, and funk duo, Lucid Disco, decided to try her hand at a solo project, and with "I Wanna Live", we think it'll be one with an ongoing existence. Her big brand of pop makes this belief so, and the effort, assembled sonically by fast-rising producer, GRMM, interestingly blends trap elements with her exceptional vocal command. It's to the track's advantage that this is so, and GRMM's allowing ALEXA's voice to flourish over the tactful, twisty instrumentations he employs yields a rich, forward-enough effort that has us hoping for more.
