Toeing the line between different-sounding, unique-sounding, and still sounding good is a very difficult thing to do. It's definitely not something you can be taught; you either have the kind of appeal within your craft, or you do not, and when it comes to Alex Brittan, a 23-year-old singer and producer spending time in two Australian cities (Perth and Melbourne), we think he's hit the nail on the head with his latest track, "Thirsty Bird". The track has some quirky songwriting that's apparently inspired by dating app Tinder, but, whatever the inspiration is, it's excelling easily enough in capturing our attention. Alongside some catchy, effervescent production, too, the newcomer can be confident that he has a winner on his hands.
