Def Jam's Alessia Cara seemingly blew up overnight with debut track "Here", but, really, she's been killing it on the low for years with covers of star artists. Only recently has she gained acclaim of her own, and now that she has, she'll be attracting the likes of accomplish and up-and-coming producers alike taking their stabs at making her masterful track even more so. Today, we see underappreciated producer Lucian doing his thing to Alessia's jam, and, of course, he prevails. From the very beginning of the New York producer's rework, you get the sense that it's going to be grand, and, thankfully, it is. Some expanding synths greet us right away with Alessia's penetrating lines, then some more slinky ones, and then the intensity picks up. We're given a one-second moment of silence before huge chords and brass take over, and, later on, we're treated to an epic side-by-side of Lucian and Alessia's sounds. Big, blinking, and absolutely bold is the blending together of them, and we imagine the track is going to see many thousands of plays as a result. It certainly deserves them all.
