Although Alden Penner is new to the pages of HD with "Precession", around the Canadian music industry, he is anything but a rookie. In addition to his singing, songwriting and production talents, Alden has been working/producing with other bands, running indie-labels, composing for movie soundtracks, scoring music and of course working on his solo music since the early 2000's. For the new listener, the most obvious notable feature is his striking voice, (which becomes glaringly obvious with his EP standout, "Precession"). But quickly to follow in your adoration is his instrumentation arrangements; from calm acoustic serenades to squelchy & distorted guitar breakdowns, Alden Penner definitely puts his jack-of-all-trades talents to use when it comes to his solo material.
