Although we've only seen two songs from Airling hit the web (each of which are singles off her upcoming EP, Love Gracefully), the singer is already two-for-two on absolutely wowing us. And it's not only us at HD that she's impressing, because the Brisbane-based songstress has already received huge recognition from Triple J Unearthed, and looks to be headlining her own set of shows in Australia coming up here. With producer Tom Scary alongside, too, it looks like Airling is ready to create some serious waves in the music scene, and today she's unleashing her brand-new single, "Wasted Pilots", which supplies an absolutely massive, utterly euphoric synth-pop sound. "Wasted Pilots" begins with a fresh electronic beat gradually coming into focus, bringing some obscure vocal bits with it. A layer of synths lays the ground for Airling's ethereal croon to coast atop afterwards, and, without wasting much time, the song explodes into a breathtaking, awe-inspiring, goosebump-inducing chorus, which features powerful synths, strong percussion, inspirational vocals, and some bright noises fluttering around the background. The track then tunnels through a few more verses and choruses, overall amounting to another pop effort from Airling that's nothing short of brilliant. Needless to say, we're ready for September 19th.
