NY-based Aire Atlantica has bounced around electronic genres for a couple years now, and we think he's found his home on his more recent efforts, as they're as sultry-sounding as any he's put out. Aire's latest piece is a rendition of Rhye's memorable "Open", and he absolutely nails every element within, employing vocal-infused synths and sunlit, percussive-led drums. The other two favorites we've plucked include remixes of Kanye West's "Bound 2" and White Stripes' "Seven Nation Army", and both are brimming with electronic-soul sounds and polished sampling as well. There's no question we'll have more of an eager eye and ear out for forthcoming work from the talent, and here's hoping he plans to stick to his current sound, as it's one we'd love to hear again and again.
