Oblivion

New artists pop up daily, but will you remember the majority of them? Probably not. When you lay your ears on the music of Aimee deBeer, however, you will be forced to implant her name in your memory, because with second-ever track "Oblivion" (it was released eight months ago), there's no way you're not going to be impressed. "Oblivion" is a standout track from the New York City-based singer-songwriter who's a debut EP on the way (she's backed by a full-band), and that's not just because her vocals are great, but because of the overall feeling she's able to pull off. With her elastic, drawn-out singing flair, to the drone-like, mesmerizing production behind it all, there's an overall sense of euphoria induced. We haven't seen a release date for her EP yet, (her SoundCloud page reports that "Oblivion" and "Persephone And The Devil" are its first two singles), but she did just recently drop the video for "Oblivion" (see it below), so stay tuned, because it may be coming soon.
