Affelaye — Sapphire

Affelaye

Sapphire

We've been loving the sounds coming from UK producer Affelaye's camp over the past couple of months, and yesterday, through The Vibe Guide's fourth volume of sound, we've another enrapturing work of his to engage excitedly into. His particular effort is entitled "Sapphire" and is very vibey indeed. It's a slow and steady buildup of sonic anticipation at the beginning, and, with Affelaye at the helm of the production, you know it's guaranteed to manifest into audible majesty sooner rather than later. And it's majesty that does, in fact, ensue; a light stream of electronic distortions and drums start to trickle into the blossoming track, paving the way for what alluring aspects are next incorporated into the effort. And after being subject to the brimming atmosphere for the better part of a minute, Affelaye busts out the kind of bewitching synths and precise percussion we've come to love hearing from him. The aspects work together like brothers to produce a blend of brooding emotions that dip in and out of the rest of the emotionally tantalizing track.
