Aeropsia has been trickle-feeding the internet with singles and remixes for the past year or so, and has managed to curate a healthy following in both his native Santa Cruz, California, and abroad as well. His latest track featuring the rich vocals of K.K. smitten has a solid beat which does a good job standing up to the complex layering of synth melodies and accents. “After My Own Heart” is one of those efforts that keeps a consistent undertone and pacing, but really meanders through different overtones as the song progresses, eventually culminating in a compilation of all the different track elements as the sound gets bigger and bigger. It’s a solid offering from a solid artist, and does a great job showing off Aeropsia’s production chops.
