ACES, a newer duo from Brooklyn, has two tracks currently to their name. They're both relatively understated pieces aside from some some lightly piercing vocals within, and, though we did not post either of them on the site, we were made aware with their sounds that one of their tracks would inevitably find its way here. "I'm Already Gone", their latest, just so happens to be that one. With silky vocals, woozy production behind them, and several light and delicately crafted nuances throughout, "I'm Already Gone" shines. It's a resplendent piece from beginning to end, swelling when appropriate alongside heartfelt inflections of the lead singer's voice, and the instruments that come forth toward the middle part of it (and at the end) truly make it whole. This is some seriously stunning and enjoyable stuff. [via BULLETT]
