India-born, California-residing Abhi The Nomad has made introspective hip-hop that's been going under the radar the past couple of years, but that's set to change swiftly in our opinion, as his label-backed debut track, "Sex n' Drugs" is out today. Having alternated between indie and hip-hop over time, there's no question Abhi's artistic focus is an eclectic one here. Incisive, gut-felt lyricism coupled with sublime, funk-heavy sounds comprise the piece, and, working alongside collaborators Harrison Sands and Copper King, the piece is able to weave through a blend of soulful tones as well that gives this piece even more punch.
