Many would argue that new music can use more authenticity, originality, and groove, and though this might be true to some extent, artists like Aaron Taylor could sure be used as a strong counter-argument, as the London-based singer and producer is today releasing his debut EP, Still Life, that's filled to the brim with all the qualities we've mentioned above. Aaron calls upon elements of soul, funk, jazz, gospel, and R&B to create a style that's fresh, but also reminiscent of past sounds. His impressive vocal range and philosophic songwriting shine throughout the three-track EP, and he makes sure to fill the gaps with smooth interludes containing excerpts from Martin Luther King Jr., Wallace Stephens, and Curtis Mayfield as well.
