After the release of his GUITS EP back in 2015, New York artist Aaron Taos seems to have narrowed the focus of what he wants his sound to be. Previously released single “Off My Mind” was a testament to this, with the lighter genre flirtation of his earlier work now superseded with a purposeful indie-pop sound, which, in our opinion, was executed flawlessly. Doubling down with this aforementioned new direction is follow-up single “These Days”, which contains the same lyrical sensibilities, but is now delivered with a drive we’ve yet to hear from the young artist who continues to impress with each new release. This one should keep momentum alive for him, and we surely hope to hear more similarly well-executed efforts soon.
