A Rainmaker is a French five-piece that caught our attention a few months ago with their electro-funk jam, "The Call", which was antedated by the dreamy vibes of "Hanging On Your Eyes". We've been awaiting more material from the group ever since we first caught wind of them, and now they're back with more smooth, upbeat music in their debut EP, Sunbelt, which we've here to share with you today. The project features two new offerings in addition to the singles, and the high standard of sound set by their previous releases is maintained by the new tracks. A Rainmaker kicks off with "Opening (I Walk To You)", a slow-building track that's bright as a sunny, spring day, and fresh electronic lightly flutters above the warm soundscapes on the effort. (For those of you that haven't heard this group yet, the song acts as a beautiful introduction to their style). The next new track, "Fantasy", has a mildly groovy sound that features sweeping synths, clever percussion, and some gentle acoustic guitar, and we love it all. If you're looking for something electronically led, upbeat, and easy on the ears, A Rainmaker's Sunbelt is precisely what you need to hear, so get to it below. Purchase Sunbelt on iTunes.
