Parisian beat veteran 20syl is on a continual climb in the world of electronic, and what's even more intriguing for us with regard to his work is coming across a collaborative piece rather than a mere revamp, as his Monsoonsiren-accompanied "All You Need" sheds a slightly distinct, R&B-inclined vibe. Part of an On And On Records release entitled 1Ø1 (it's a compilation), the project features the likes of IAMNOBODI, Shuko, Phazz, and 20 other aspiring, highly adept artists of all kinds. The piece here isn't totally uncharacteristic of 20syl’s prior efforts to date, with the flow giving off obvious indications of his production structures, but what particularly stands out is the Frenchman’s revealed ability to delve into any style he desires. Technically, “All You Need” is 20’s first vocally-assisted original work, and Monsoonsiren certainly delivers on his part, diving in and out of the subtly tweaked verses to engender an atmosphere that’s a cogent blend of dance-worthy hip-hop and ever-enticing R&B.
