As an electronic music fan, it's nearly mandatory to have Parisian producer 20syl near the top of your list when it comes to favorite producers. His sound is one-of-a-kind, and it's really one of the most unique out today. We heard this loud and clear on his many remixes and his last EP, Motifs, and now in 2015, we're getting part two in the EP series. Kicking off its release today is "Back & Forth", its first single. "Back & Forth" is the epitome of free-flowing, stream-of-consciousness production work. With its constant barrage of arpeggiating sounds, samples, and hard-hitting percussion, there's really no feeling of traditionalism here, but 20syl at his creative best. We're again impressed. Motifs II will be released on May 11 via On And On Records.
