It seems like this album was supposed to drop years ago but now we finally see Big Boi's highly anticipated solo album see the light of day! The expectations for this album are going to be high from being a product of one half of Outkast. With that being said I just went through this album and I gotta say I am left a bit disappointed. It's not from a product of high expectations or rushing through the album to get this review out. Rest assured I gave this album a listen twice over. The production on most of the tracks is mediocre and never really gives Big Boi that push to make this album some of his best work outside of Outkast. Big Boi still rips apart his verses and still shows that he is one of the best. The Train II is the best track off this album that best exemplifies of what happens you combine Big Boi with production that soars above average. The production is handled by Organized Noise, Scott Storch, Salaam Remi, Andre 3000, Malay, Mr. DJ, Royal Flush, + many more. Vocal features include Sleepy Brown, T.I, B.o.B, Khujo Goodie, Sam Chris, Vonnegutt, Gucci Mane, Jamie Foxx, Janelle Monae, and Yelawolf. SLLF:TSOCD will hit stores and digital outlets July 6th. For fans of Outkast, B.o.B, Cee-Lo.
