This is quite possibly one of the best albums I have ever heard. I feel lucky to be a human being who can experience beautiful music like this. All the hype for this album was well worth the talk because listening to this album from front to back is like having a constant orgasm. We all knew Nas and Damian could carry this album lyrically but its the production (handled by Stephen and Damian) that keeps up to the pace with epic compositions complete with African percussion, insane synth lines, acoustic/electric guitars and hard hitting drums. Nas hasn't been this good in my opinion since 1999's I Am, the verses throughout this album that Nas spits firmly puts Nas back into the forefront of being called the best lyrical emcee. Damian sounds like he is a gift from the gods on this album. Case and point with Patience when he absolutely blows you away with his hypnotic vocals that make you feel like your in a smoke filled room of ganja smoke with your eyes closed and lost within your own thought. Distant Relatives hits stores May 18th, and make sure to check them on the tour because its going to be legendary! Come Dec you can expect to see this album #1 on my top ten list.
